The Nokia C6 is a S60 5th Edition mobile computer with a large 3.2″, bright nHD (640 x 360 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio) TFT colour display with resistive touch screen and tactile feedback. It can connect to mobile broadband using WLAN or HSDPA (3.5G). Find directions and locations with the integrated A-GPS and included maps. Take photos with a 5 mega pixel Auto Focus with LED flash camera. Supported WCDMA frequencies depend on region where the device is available.
The large screen provides a great Internet experience, as well as offering access to Facebook feeds directly on the homescreen. A full suite of email and social networking capabilities means the Nokia C6 is perfect for people who want to stay up to date while on the go.
The C6 iss expected to be available in the second quarter of 2010 at an estimated price of EUR 220 before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia launches N900 for Rs. 30,639

In an event for tech-bloggers and reviewers, today Nokia officially launched the Nokia N900 in India. The dream geek device will finally be available, but at a steep price of Rs. 30,639.
After the announcement, all the bloggers, reviewers and geeks present there were taken for a spin on four-wheeled rally cars, an effort by Nokia representatives to show us the errors of our literary ways -- we should have become rally-drivers instead. No really, Nokia compared the experience to the speed and thrill of owning an N900 device.
Of all the devices in the market the N900 is a favourite of geeks, and the reasons are clear. It runs a version of Linux, with an actual, usable terminal. If that wasn’t enough, it is a mobile device which actually has a swap partition. It can run nearly any open source software, since it has a proper Linux distro, unlike Android. You can install deb packages from a repository, and there is no dearth of free software for Maemo -- the version of Linux which runs on the N900.
You can run a virtualization application to actually emulate and run PC operating systems on it, and this is the famous phone that actually managed to boot an older version of Mac OS for PPC using the PearPC emulator !
If that wasn’t enough to geek out, here are some more of the N900 specifications:

What’s more, each and every thing is open to programming. At the event they demonstrated an application which displayed an icon in case you left the camera cover open, and showed that you could actually get community created extensions which could extend the social services and sync locations that it can access. We could go on, but it is better you wait for our review instead!
On an unfortunate side-note, Skype for the N900 will not be available on the device due to some government restrictions, although the FM transmitter will.
After putting so much into one little device, unfortunately Nokia decided to give it a resistive screen, which does not do justice to its capabilities. The price too, at around 30,000 is much higher than what it sells for across the sea. If you can afford it -- lucky you -- you can pick up from Nokia retail stores later this month.

Nokia launches brand new C series dual SIM starting Prices at Rs. 1,999

Nokia has announced new Cseries devices that are ideal for developing countries, with four low-cost and sturdy mobiles, two of which are dual SIM.

Nokia C1-00  will hit the streets first, and already has a price: 1,999. While this is bit higher than we expected earlier  (Rs. 1,700), this low-priced dual SIM phone is definitely a milestone for the company.

The Nokia C2 will cost 45 Euros, or approximately Rs. 2, 500, and is a dual SIM phone that has the second SIM in a hot-swappable position, said to be the world’s first such mobile. It supports dual-band GSM, at 900/1800 MHz. Other features include a VGA camera, GPRS/Bluetooth/microUSB connectivity, microSD expansion to 32GB (!), 3.5mm audio jack and MP3 player, and FM radio with broadcast recording. It has a standby time of 16.5 days, and a talk time of 4 hours.

The Nokia C1 is available in three flavours, the dual SIM Nokia C1-00, the Nokia C1-01 and the Nokia C1-02. The C1-00 will cost 30 Euros, or approximately Rs. 1,700, and is a GSM-GSM dual SIM phone that supports just one active SIM at a time, along with an easy switch option. Featuring an astounding 48 day standby time, the phone also offers FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack and a flashlight at the low-price.

The new phones C1-00, C1-01, C1-02 and C2 which is priced Rs 1750, Rs. 2200, Rs 2500 and Rs. 2850 respectively but please don’t expect any advance features with those mobiles as these are entry level dual sim mobile phones with basic functionality like FM radio, Color Screen, Flash Light and Send Messages.

Nokia C1-00, C1-01 and C1-02 Overview
Nokia C1-00 is very basic simple phone for call and text SMS with FM radio and 6 weeks battery backup. C1-00 priced about Rs. 1750 in Delhi, India where as C1-01 is very similar but with MicroSD card slot and VGA resolution camera. Bluetooth, Ovi Mail and Chat is available with Nokia C1-02 with all other features like FM radio and VGA camera.

Nokia C2 overview
Priced around 2850 in Delhi, India. Litle advance phone with double SIM, Ovi Tools, Ovi Mail and Chat, FM radio, microSD card slot, VGA camera, Bluetooth. According to Nokia that the battery of C2 mobile phone will lasts up to 16.5 days of use.

 Nokia's bicycle charger

The Nokia C1-00 is expected to release in Q3 2010, while the other thee phones will release in Q4 2010. Along with them, Nokia will also launch its useful bicycle charging kit, which employs a dynamo to charge phones that support the standard Nokia 2mm power pin. This will certainly be a great advantage in developing countries, including India.
